We walk through the Kidron Valley where there are Jewish tombs dating back to the 1st century AD and enter the Old City via the Dung Gate. We continue to Temple Mount, a sacred site once home to the ancient Jewish Temple and today home to the Dome of the Rock and Al-Aqsa Mosque. At times entrance to Temple Mount is limited by the authorities and under those circumstances we will visit the Tower of David instead. Next we visit the Davidson Center, an archaeological park adjacent to Temple Mount with excavated First and Second Temple Period structures. We tour the excavated site and see ancient remains from various historic periods. At the end of the tour you are returned to your hotel.

Local Tips for Jerusalem
Wear comfortable shoes — Jerusalem streets may be cobblestoned.
Don’t miss trying local food or drink
Look out for public fountains to refill your water.
Book tickets in advance to skip the lines at popular attractions.
Guided vs. Self-Guided Walking Tours
A guided walking tour offers expert insights, historical
context, and often includes skip-the-line access to major landmarks. If you

Jerusalem at your own pace using maps and mobile apps.
Combining both options is ideal for a complete experience.
