The Izta Popo National Park has 2 volcanoes in the same place. We have designed hiking routes so you can enjoy the incredible views of the dormant volcano Iztaccíhuatl and the active volcano Popocatépetl. The walk begins at about 3,600 meters above sea level and ends at 3,980 meters above sea level. The trail is marked sandy. The total is approximately 8-9km of which 4km are moderate climbs and 4km are downhills. Level 2. The total is 14km of which 4km are uphill and the rest downhill with a few meters of moderate ascent. The trail is marked, mostly sandy with an outward view of the Izta and a return view of the Popo. Level 3. It is a 7km walk at an altitude of between 4,000 and 4,500 meters above sea level where there will be sand and stone.
