My name is Chihiro, your guide for this calligraphy experience. I'll warmly support you throughout! Japanese calligraphy (shodo) is a traditional art that expresses words and feelings using brush and ink. In this experience, you’ll learn the basics of calligraphy, practice writing your name using a brush and ink, and create a personal souvenir. Hiroshima is known as the top producer of traditional calligraphy brushes in Japan. The brush you’ll use today is handcrafted in Kumano Town, a famous brush-making area right here in Hiroshima. At the end of the session, you'll write your name in kanji and turn your artwork into a custom souvenir — such as a T-shirt, suitcase belt, or pouch. Perfect for couples, families, and solo travelers. The session takes about 90 minutes and is just a short walk from Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. Come join us for a peaceful and creative experience during your visit to Hiroshima!

Konnichiwa (Hello) from Hiroshima! This tour covers all the must-see peace spots in Hiroshima city in just half a day. Hiroshima, the city where the world’s first atomic bomb was dropped, marks the 80th years of that tragic event in 2025. Survivors from that time shared a common sentiment, saying, “We thought we would never see trees, flowers, or life again in Hiroshima for at least 75 years.” Despite the overwhelming despair, Hiroshima has made an incredible recovery, rising from the ashes of war to become a city full of green, symbolizing peace. Today, it draws visitors from all over the world. On this tour, you will journey through Hiroshima with a local guide, learning about the city's history, why it became the first place to suffer the atomic bomb, and how it was rebuilt into the peaceful city it is today. The tour is flexible and can be tailored to your preferences. If there are any other places you’d like to visit, just let us know at any time!
